Home Decor :)

For years I have struggled to live comfortably. Past trauma has caused me to hoard and prefer smaller, cramped spaces. But after many, many years, I have learned to outgrown the more negative aspects of this. I still prefer small corners to work, live, and sleep in, but I no longer acquire items to fill a void. I used to collect books, pocket watches, boxes, etc. Anything I felt related to me, I wanted around me. As my confidence as an independent entity strengthen, I could see myself in objects still but felt less inclined to surround myself with these material things. I sold/got rid of a lot of my stuff and turned the rest into art projects. I feel like now, 95% of my belongings are things that I can actually use.

I really still enjoy feeling consumed in my surroundings, so I prefer the "clutter core" aesthetic. I also prefer my home to be super soft and comfortable and for all the furniture to be ground level as I believe it has made me healthier and offers me extreme mobility. I also am a small person and enjoy identifying with troll/goblin-like creatures.

Here are corners of my living room and bedroom. I will show more when it's to my liking :) below this picture you will find links to where you can find some of the items pictured.

Floor couch: https://amzn.to/3geagkZ 5/5 super comfortable. and the two pillows it comes with are great for added lower back support for all day comfort. I sit all day, everyday mostly for work and haven't had a sore bum or anything like that. It also comes in various colors and folds out and can recline into multiple positions :) I have a blue one in my craft room that I'll show at another time.

Rug: https://amzn.to/3mH2Lp7 4/5 really love the look of this rug but it doesn't add that much cushion and is a lot harder to clean than I thought. I feel like it's easier to just sweep this rug than it is to vacuum it.

Bookshelves: https://amzn.to/39Mdmva 4/5 I got these 2 years ago. They could be sturdier but I also have super heavy books and crammed them all together. I have some sinking areas but this doesn't bother me. I actually like that look. Makes me think of Harry Potter.

Corner shelf: https://amzn.to/3qwOJc0 3/5 definitely risked it all putting my record collection up on these shelves. they do the job okay enough but are very flimsy in my opinion. The shelf has survived smaller earthquakes though so, we shall see.

Penguin slippers: https://amzn.to/3qw0ak1 5/5 immaculate. so comfortable. might actually be the epitome of perfect.

Fleece throw: https://amzn.to/3omGDAE 5/5 I will have a fleece blanket in every room if possible.

Curtains: https://amzn.to/2JT3btQ 5/5 I crudely ripped these curtains in "half" so I could put them on more windows in my house. I like the shredded look. V artsy.

Pillow pack: https://amzn.to/3oszVsW 5/5 no complaints or quips

Body pillow: https://amzn.to/36Ln9jf 4/5 wish it were firmer

Body pillow case: https://amzn.to/2VEdZ1Q 5/5 so soft, is my boyfriend.

Satin pillow cases: https://amzn.to/3oqWDlh 5/5 my hair doth approve.

Shaggy blanket and pom pom pillow cases: https://amzn.to/37I104V 5/5 probably the greatest blanket set every. Blanket is ultra soft and warm without being suffocating and pillows are sooofofofofofofofooffffft.

Floral Pillows: https://amzn.to/39MPuIa 5/5 these came in a pack of 6 and come in various designs. I really like them and I stuffed mine with yarn scraps :)
